Sleepless Nights

Sleepless Nights

Here it is, another late night… Two in the morning and I’m still wide awake. Unfortunately, the saddest part of this: many of my church-family members are in the same boat (having trouble sleeping); whether it’s due to worries, health issues, or odd work schedules, etc. The fortunate part: I am awake this late evening to write a message of faith. My prayer for all who read this is that the words which are about to pour onto this page will instill peace upon you and ease your difficulties (you know who you are).

Have you ever noticed that no matter how busy your schedule gets, when you make time for church in your routine, your life automatically runs a lot smoother? Think about it this way for a second: when we are hungry, we need to eat to nourish our bodies, thus gaining more energy in order to keep moving. Likewise, God fills us up with faith, peace, His word and promises, among countless other blessings! That is, if we keep the communication lines open with Him. So… have you talked to Him lately? It’s never too late to start.

Whatever may be weighing on you, here are some wonderfully assuring bible verses to turn to:

Exodus 14:1-14
But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand where you are and watch the LORD rescue you…”

Philippians 4:6
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.

1 Peter 5:7
Give your worries to God, for He cares about you.

Matthew 6:25-34
…Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?...

Psalm 18:6-19
But in my distress I cried out to the LORD… He heard me from His sanctuary…

May God bless you, my friends, and continue to lead you on your path.
